Quality Assurance
Our Certified in-house lab allows us to prepare, etch, and examine welds to the AWS D17.1:2017 and AWS D17.2:2019 Standards. Having this capability in-house not only allows us to reduce the lead time on weld schedule validation but allows us to fine tune the welding process to reduce the number of weld rejects.
Our Metallurgical Lab utilizes EDM cutting equipment to accurately cut and prepare weld samples for metallurgical examination. A certified etching process is used to enhance the weld features to ensure sufficient weld penetration is present. A Calibrated Computer assisted digital microscope is used to measure and record the results. Results are validated by 3rd parties where required.
