A: A good core return for a factory-overhauled magneto should be a current series, such as the 4300 or 6300 models. If a new magneto is purchased, older series magnetos may be considered for credit on a case-by-case basis..

A: There are no bill backs on a core return for a current series 4300 or 6300 magneto.

A: According to the Overhaul Manual L-1363F, the magneto should be overhauled at TBO (Time Before Overhaul), after a lightning strike, prop strike, sudden engine stoppage, or immersion of the aircraft.
