- Why should I buy a PowerUP overhauled magneto?

- My magneto needs a 500-hour inspection. Where do I send it to get this work done?

PowerUP supports hundreds of dedicated accessory repair shops, engine overhaul shops, and aircraft maintenance shops, and any of these shops can perform the 500-hour inspection. Alternatively, the magneto can be sent directly to Hartzell Aviation for a rapid turnaround on the 500-hour inspection.
- What is the 500-hour inspection and why should I do it?

Continental Motors Service Bulletin SB643C and Slick Service Bulletin SB2-80C specify that magnetos be inspected and repaired as required to maintain continuing airworthiness. These service bulletins include specific inspections for the distributor block, contact points, bearings, impulse coupling wear, coil, and condenser electrical properties. The 500-hour inspection is a recommended maintenance practice for identifying internal magneto parts that are worn before they fail, helping maintain the safety of the magnetos installed on an aircraft engine.
- What makes the PowerUP 500-hour inspection different from inspections offered by other companies?

The requirements for the 500-hour inspection are the same across shops for both Bendix and Slick magnetos. PowerUP, however, performs magneto overhauls at a higher volume than other private shops and is also the OEM that manufactures many of the parts other shops install into Bendix and Slick magnetos. Because of this expertise and parts availability, PowerUP can offer a faster turnaround along with the value of a factory warranty.
- Which manuals should I use to install PowerUP magneto parts and overhauled magnetos?

All PowerUP parts should be installed using the OEM-approved manuals for the specific magneto model. Consult Continental Motors for the latest revision of manuals X42002 (Bendix S-20/S-200 magnetos) and X42001 (Bendix S-1200 magnetos). Consult Champion Aerospace for the latest revision of manual L-1363 (Slick 4300/6300 series magnetos).

PowerUP ignition harnesses are designed to deliver reliable performance and fit a range of engine models.
- Which magneto models does PowerUP support?

PowerUP supports a range of magneto models, including:
- Bendix 20/25/200 Series: compact-size models available in 4- and 6-cylinder versions
- Bendix 1200 Series: larger models, also available in 4- and 6-cylinder versions
- PowerUP 4300 Series: available in both impulse and non-impulse configurations
- PowerUP 6300 Series: designed for enhanced reliability and performance
Parts are not provided for the 4000, 400/600, or 4200/6200 series.
